The Metropole Ruhr: One metropolitan area. Many opportunities
With over 5 million consumers, the Ruhr region is the largest B2C location in Germany. At the same time, there are 160,000 companies in the B2B sector. This also makes the Metropole Ruhr the largest B2B location in Germany; large DAX corporations and numerous SMEs are at home here. 60 million consumers can be reached by truck within 2 hours.
Potential for skilled workers right on the doorstep:
Just a few hours from the Dutch border is Europe's largest university landscape. The Ruhr region now has more than 300,00 students. With 17 colleges and 5 universities, the Metropole Ruhr has the densest higher education landscape of all metropolitan regions in Germany - as well as the most students.
We cordially invite Dutch start-ups to our event "Scale up in Germany"! As the event takes place during a German delegation trip of business representatives from the Ruhr region to the Netherlands, participants can directly get in touch with contacts from the Metropolregion Ruhr.
