Essen New administrative headquarters of FOM University

The new building features light-filled offices, lounge and relaxation areas, meeting and event rooms, and multimedia TV studios for digital teaching.

Special attention has been paid to ecological innovation: a solar façade generates electricity, while green roof areas and a biotope improve the microclimate and create habitats for insects and birds. Thanks to its high energy efficiency, the construction project is being funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection as a KfW 55 efficiency house.

Construction has been in full swing since 2023: a total of four floors, a two-level underground car park and a pavilion are being built. The new FOM administrative headquarters is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in spring 2026 – as a modern and sustainable workplace that optimally promotes creativity, communication and collaboration.
