Larger, more modern, and more sustainable: The Port of Duisburg is further expanding its role as a leading logistics hub in Central Europe. A modern logistics center is being built on the logport VI site in the Port of Duisburg with six connected warehouses, office and social areas, and parking spaces for cars and trucks. For the Danish logistics company DSV, the site offers the best conditions for handling multimodal transports by rail, water or road. After a construction period of around one year, operations will start on the 120,000 m² site at the end of 2021. With over 57,000 m² of usable space in the 12.20 m high halls, DSV is opening up new capacities for its customers' goods with the new building.

The modern building complex was planned according to the latest standards and designed for sustainability. For example, DSV is having a photovoltaic system installed on the roofs of the logistics centre to generate its own electricity. In addition, a resource-saving and low-emission construction method was used in the realisation of the project by the Goldbeck company. The building meets the highest quality level of the DGNB and convinces with its holistic approach that combines sustainability, functionality and economic efficiency.
