Brainfactory in Bochum

The new BRAINFACTORY BOCHUM will form the hub of the innovative O-WERK | CAMPUS office quarter on the former Opel site in Bochum-Laer. With its modern and sustainable construction, the BRAINFACTORY creates the conditions for further networking of technology and knowledge as well as for a pleasant quality of stay in a creative environment. As part of the office product "Spirit Offices", it focuses on the four core values: Intelligence, E-Happy & Healthy, Respect Nature and Lived Community. The office landscapes can be individually designed: the "Inspire" furnishing concept focuses on the open office and the "Professional" concept combines individual offices with coworking areas.

The individual façade design, which makes the new office building a defining landmark for the entire quarter, was designed by New York star architect Matthias Hollwich/HWKN. Also designed by HWKN is the hotel-style lobby, which acts as a central access point, facilitating orientation in the building and creating short routes to the workplace, café or roof terrace. Wall greening, high-quality landscaped areas, fitness area, inner courtyard and roof terrace enable the implementation of a very good work-life balance.
