"We are one economic area," emphasized Peter Schuurman, Consul General of the Netherlands at the opening of Innovation Bridge Netherlands. "There are so many common touch points and approaches to innovation that make cross-border cooperation worthwhile."

Innovation Bridge Netherlands supports companies by providing innovation impulses, with events, arranging business contacts, networking, success stories and location marketing. Cooperation potentials for the Netherlands and the Ruhr region are strengthened via a constantly growing partner network.

"In times of global challenges such as climate change, digitalization and uncertain geopolitical developments, cooperation with our neighbor the Netherlands is more important than ever," emphasized Prof. Dr. Julia Frohne at the inauguration of the Innovation Bridge. The Innovation Bridge Netherlands is geared toward long-term cooperation that aims to further intensify the good economic relations between the two regions. Delegation trips, bilateral exchanges, and digital match formats are intended to support cooperation between companies, startups, and municipalities.
